Our TTC Timeline

So I have done some research and many other TTC Blog's have a timeline. So here is my crack at ours.

  • 2005: Met my soulmate

  • 2010: Bought a house

  • 2013: Got Married

  • January 2014: Started trying to conceive

  • March 2014: Started using a digital ovulation predictor (OPK)

  • November 2014: Husband semen analysis; Results - 99 million count, 84% motility, 8% morphology

  • December 2014: Had HSG test done; Results - normal. Had post-coital test done; Results - fair (5-6 active sperm heading in the right direction). Since then I have learned that post-coital test are very inaccurrate.

  • January - March 2015: switched to manual OPKs and kept having timed intercourse

  • April 2015: Wanted a second opinion. Had a vaginal ultrasound done. Results - uterus size & shape is normal; ovaries size & shape normal. At Cycle Day 4, left ovary had 8 follicles and right ovary had 4 follicles at an average size of 10mm.

  • June 2015: Started 50mg of Clomid for CD 3-CD7, hCg trigger and IUI #1(2 follies) - BFN

  • July 2015: 50mg of Clomid, (3 big follies), hCg trigger, IUI #2 - BFN

  • July 2015 - 50mg of Clomid, (3 big follies), hCg trigger, IUI #3 - BFN

  • August/September 2015 - Femara, biggest follies yet, hCg trigger, IUI #4 - BFN

  • September/October 2015 - Femara,(2 follies), hCg trigger, IUI #5 - BFN

  • October 2015 - Taking a break until 2016. Trying to save for IVF ($15,000) - no insurance coverage.

  • November 2015 - June 2016 - Still praying for a miracle. We have taken a huge step back from "trying". We aren't monitoring anything. We hope that by doing this we take the pressure and stress away from TTC and it just happens naturally.

  • July 2016 - Had a genetic mutations blood test done to see if I had the mutation MTHFR - which has effects on produces folic acid. They tested for a slew of other mutations as well. Results come back negative for any mutations that would cause infertility. Back to square one - what's wrong with us?
